Traditional Values in Teaching Constitutional Law of Russia

Abstract

The purpose of the article is to develop methodological approaches to teaching Russian constitutional law on the issue of traditional values. According to the author, the most appropriate way to achieve this goal is an axiological approach, which allows one to show the place of traditional values in the system of constitutional values as whole, balance traditional values with other constitutional values, and explain the constitutional and legal foundations of the mechanisms for the formation and preservation of traditional values.

The article examines the issues of correlation of traditional values with the foundations of the constitutional system, the constitutional status of the individual, the relationship between the value of “service to the Fatherland” and the constitutional term “defense of the Fatherland”. It shows the connection between traditional values and the concept of solidarity and the characteristics of the Russian state as a social state. The author concludes that traditional values are integrated into constitutional and legal matter in a comprehensive and systematic manner, which has a legal impact on the Russian legal system as a whole.
