«Federalism, the Rule of Law and Human Rights»: A Monograph Overview
Abstract
The study reveals the main approaches to understanding the principle of the rule of law, the correlation of this principle with the form of a federal state structure and ensuring the effective implementation of human rights, using the example of various federal states, including Russia. The authors analyzed various institutions for the protection of human rights in the context of federalism, investigated the dependence and effectiveness of these institutions, identified the features of the institution of the ombudsman and mechanisms for ensuring the protection of citizens' rights through justice, identified patterns of their further development, and gave a scientific assessment of the current state of the rule of law, taking into account the federal structure, which assumes the division of competence between federal and regional bodies in the field of protection human rights.
